This dataset presents groundwater level measurements used to generate a regional water table map for the northeastern Tularosa Basin region, covering parts of Otero and Lincoln counties, New Mexico. Data was collected by the New Mexico Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources between 2009 and 2011 and includes elevations from wells and springs.
The dataset reflects groundwater flow patterns from east to west, extending from the Sierra Blanca and Sacramento Mountains into the Tularosa Basin and Pecos Slope. Aquifers in this area span multiple geologic formations with varying hydrologic properties. The water table data is used to interpret regional flow paths, aquifer connectivity, and hydrogeologic boundaries.
